The MIRROR Consortium is pleased to announce its latest event which will be taking place on the 15-16th of December, 2021, in the historic Fort St. Elmo in Malta. The conference will be hosted in a hybrid format enabling both physical and online attendance thus increasing the opportunity for wider participation from all over the world.

The Migration in Focus conference seeks to act as an interactive platform fostering debate on the most challenging and novel issues in the field of migration. The main focus of the conference is identifying novel ways to fill in “informational gaps” in formulating and deploying policies and humanitarian responses targeting migrants. To view the entire program of the two-day event, please visit this site.

The conference will highlight recent findings, good practices and tools that have positively contributed to enhancing knowledge in the field of migration and present studies on existing gaps and persistent challenges. The input provided by the participants will be supporting the goals of the MIRROR (Migration-Related Risks Caused by Misconceptions of Opportunities and Requirement) project which aims to create a deeper understanding of the role of perception in migration. The final result, will be an integrated platform, a set of novel features and tools, as well as a systematic methodology for the comprehensive inter-media analysis of the perception of Europe.

The 2-day hybrid event has an interactive structure comprising several panels, roundtables and technology demonstrations and will bring together among stakeholders from the academic world, policy-makers, civil society and international organisations working in the field of migration.

We look forward to receiving your registration! Please visit the  event’s page for more details on how to participate.
